PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) is an online multiplayer battle royale game developed and published by PUBG Corporation, a subsidiary of South Korean video game company Bluehole. The game is based on previous mods that were created by Brendan “PlayerUnknown” Greene for other games, inspired by the 2000 Japanese film Battle Royale, and expanded into a standalone game under Greene’s creative direction. In the game, up to one hundred players parachute onto an island and scavenge for weapons and equipment to kill others while avoiding getting killed themselves. The available safe area of the game’s map decreases in size over time, directing surviving players into tighter areas to force encounters. The last player or team standing wins the round.

PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS Reviews
I’m going to talk about the recent patches which some of them are not that great.
I’ve played a few hours of this game but right now the only thing keeping me inside of it, is me completing achievements and playing with friends. You just can’t play solo with squads, nobody on your team wants to play together, they always go wherever they want. The few times I go alone I get into non-talkers, russians, Koreans, Turkey and many countries so far from mine. That’s not the problem, the problem is that these are amongst the groups of people that doesn’t care about the outcome of the game, no one ever plays WITH you, always by himself. Many just yell, troll, afk, dc’ed, etc.
The type of players isn’t helping the game.
By that, now we have all maps except Paramo (new one) in the same queue, doesn’t make any sense. You should at least choose which map to queue with and not go by random. And having bots in normals isn’t helping either to many players.
Hackers are the other problem, I’ve been catching a few once in a while and the gameplay begins to go downhill.
I like the game and was better than it is today but I think the playerbase is going down by a lot. People aren’t satisfied by a along time and they move on to other things. We need more updates and more rewards for us to feel achieved in this game.
I’m still going with an up vote just cause I still like to play with friends once in a while but that’s not enough

Used to really enjoy the game together with a friend of mine. Now we constantly get killed by 4-man-squads whenever we play as a duo.
I don’t know what kind of crack the devs smoked when they thought of these changes but ever since the last update came out the game has gone down the drain. Most things are already listed in other reviews so there’s no point in me repeating all that, read it for yourself.
You can really tell that people stop playing, sometimes the servers barely reach 50 people!
Me and my friend have now moved on to a different game. A shame, really, I’ll miss the old PUBG.
The overall concept is the best of it’s kind. Unfortunately, Bluehole did not put in nearly enough investments, changes, and updates to the game. With the highest and most reliable internet, you still may not see an enemy blatantly in front of you until you’re dead. The server and overall connection is awful. Too bad or else this would be THE game to play.
I’ve seen a lot of comments mentioning hackers and stuff in the negative reviews, but it doesn’t feel like a major problem when I’m playing; you can check out your death cam in a replay every time you die, and I’ve only seen suspicious stuff once or twice so far, and just reported the players. Really fun, tense game. I jump every time I get shot at, lol
Honestly i have not played it in a while but downloaded it again after not playing for a couple years and honestly the community is so toxic and not friendly at all when u get into a game most people r just rude and talking down about each other then i remebered why i stopped playing this game for so long wont be downloading again and will pry delete it from my games list as there r way better battle royal games on the market people save ur money play apex
Played on and off since day of release on both pc and xbox its a good game at its core and is worth playing if you buy with some friends on a sale.. but the developers should just listen to its community more, if i cant pick the map i want to play and keep getting stuck with rubbish like Miramar then i cant see myself coming back to the game for much longer also if it wants to compete with the other big battle royales it should become free and offer premium matchmaking or something similar to what cs did for people who have paid. I cant see any other way for the game to become relevant to a wider audience again. I really want to give a positive review but i just cant maybe ill change it if they do something right.
What else can one say about a game that has influenced the genre like no other in the sense that BR games make sense when you see how the gameplay loop works and the fun is at the back of the game. You end up on the map with up to 100 players (98 of them bots) and it’s all about everything. The tension rises with every cannon you pick up. The battle is fought with the mouse button and weapons have ballistic functions and can be fired in a targeted manner to achieve victory in BR mode without surviving. There is also a new season coming regularly, which doesn’t change anything and brings new things, which influence a lot of game flow and impress. It is up to each player to decide whether to leave a purple or yellow AK-47 in his opponent’s inventory. The matches can be exciting at any time, when shots fly along the rivers through the walls of the houses and first-aid kits air the window through which they flew came through your own playing partner. The feeling of winning, of being the last one to live, feels like a victory for a while that was given to you because the rest is no longer there. All in all the game can be recommended, but you have to be aware of the mentioned cutbacks and weapon configurations (adjustable in the settings) without batting an eyelid.
This game has technical issues that haven been solved in a while, maps that no one asked for, trash community engagement. But I saw past a lot of these things because it was fun to play with my friends, but then they decided to take TPP Duos out of the game for some reason and perma-banned my duo partner with zero explanation.
They should unironically take a page from No Man’s Sky in how they treat their fan base who’ve been here since the game came to steam.
Once the best BR of its kind, the ideal middle ground between fun and realism with decent gun physics, with a good first map and a huge playerbase, it has been on the descent for some time now. Cheaters have taken over ranked, in 8 out of 10 games on average, partially blatant and with no need to hide, because literally nothing is being done about it.
The devs also still try to force inferior “fun” maps onto the player base that nobody asked for and very few want to play. But you´re being forced to queue with those maps, as map choice has been removed due to the decline of player numbers (suprise), resulting in getting the map you actually want to play maybe ONCE in TEN games. But instead of listening to the player base, to pros and streamers that once played this on a regular base, the arrogant devs will rather change the train paths on stupid Dickendi than consider constructive feedback and implement actual improvements. Ugly skins and uselss taunts will be in the shop every other week, while some basic bugs and a hideous tickrate of the servers are still an issue since day one.
Remove the childish 3pp mode instead of removing map choice? Nooo. Integrate the pro settings to avoid a split between ranked and normal gameplay? Nooo. They will rather add another unfinished, unpolished map, because yeah, that will make people stay and play :D
So much salt, I know. I loved this game, for over 2k hours, but it´s gonna be dead in the next months, as soon at least as the next semi-decent BR game comes out. And I am so done queing 10 times and getting 3 Miramar, 2 Vikendi, 3 Sanhok and 2 Karakin when all I want to play is one or two Erangel. Die in peace, PUBG, it was fun sometimes.
The only way I can describe this game is that it’s that ominous porn genre that we all watch…kind of enjoy it at the time and when you’re finished you’re filled with regret and feel dirty. But the next evening you load up your computer and you find yourself delving back into that category… Well that is me everytime I play PUBG… filled with regret and disappointment but those chicken dinners keep bringing me back.
Please Gaben, forgive me for my sins of spending >1000 hours on this unrefined dodgy game. xx
The game is good and has stayed consistent throughout. I’d be lying if I didn’t tell you I have bandwagoned to all of these battle Rosales at some point and pubg is for sure first in my mind. Sure it has had some clunk, but in no other battle Royale do you get so much satisfaction in each encounter. I have given it a break, but I will be back for sure.
This game has managed to get worse over the years. Between the company not dealing with cheaters and more people leaving the game, the fun of the game continues to wither away. I play this out of lack of anything else to play at the moment. All the money they’ve recieved for this game has gone into their wallets and art for overly long loading screens and not the actual gameplay. Hit registration is also a problem. Dont get this game.
It’s simply my kind of game. FPS Battle Royale. Drop alone, with a partner or with a squad of 4. Loot weapons, attachments, armor and health items. Revive your mates when they get knocked down. Hop in a car, boat, or even a motorized glider to help outrun the shrinking playzone (my personal favorite is backflipping the motorcycle across the map). The developer tries to keep it fresh with new maps, modes and weapon tweaks. You can also earn some skins but you have to spend money if you are really into AwEsOmE sKiNz. It is difficult to hold your own in this game. All players are highly skilled. Realistic bullet drop and bullet speed. I have over 1000 hours and I just recently feel like I hit yet another level in my ability. The grind to get better is what makes the game rewarding. This is NOT a casual FPS. Be the last survivor standing and… well, YOU’LL SEE.
I dont know what Dr Disrespect is on about. This to me, is my favourite Battle Royale game. I like the slow paced build up, the realism/believable aspect to it. Its a little janky, but im really enjoying it. I prefer it to the rest ive played. I like it over Warzone also. Plus theres no bullsht and map markers clogging up all over your screen like Call Of Duty. I like the variety of maps. Vietnam type maps. Snowy Bastogne WW2 looking maps. Afghanistan looking maps. Theres a nice variety. Its about as good as it gets for a 3rd person/1st person batte royael experience. It also means theres a REAL space for a next gen hyper realistic Battle Royale in the future that id enjoy over Warzone’s action packed twitch shooter fest.
With as with everything else, all good things must come to a end and this game would shut down when they added bots to the game. If you have to that, you know it’s the end of your game.
I got my first desktop computer in 2017, then I started playing this game. So I started playing it a bit after it was released, I started to like it more and more and share many hours and moments with friends and acquaintances in this game.
Unfortunately, now, this is not the same game I started playing, it’s toxic, game developers lie, even take your money and treat you unfairly even when you have done nothing wrong.
You’re better off saving your money and your time than paying for this game. It’s not worth it as you may be banned whenever and for whatever random reason.
They gave me first a random 3-day ban one day for “unusual gameplay pattern”. I e-mailed them directly when it happened with screenshot. They never lifted the ban and they never replied on my e-mail.
Then last month, ONE DAY AFTER MY BIRTHDAY I got randomly a permanent “STEAM” “VAC” ban after playing one match. I e-mailed them and asked exactly WHY I received this ban.
I haven’t had any graphic problem since my first random 3-day ban because I tried to play this game on high resolution but it was to much for my computer even if it was new. I encourage the support team that I’m sure this all is a false positives becaouse I have never hacked, cheated or done any illegal due to this game.
I also noticed someone had tried to hack my steam account two day’s priour to the perma ban. I provided them this information both in text, a list on every program I use in the background while playing, screenshot and small video clip of my last match before my account was banned.
I got IA copy pasted awnser,
“there was an infraction detected in-game and the account has been restricted.” and followed with “that there was a violation of our terms and services and is permanently restricted” (my account)
I had no other choice but to reply back asking what restriction I exactly broke becaouse I did not break anything and they are VERY VAGUE of what they even talk about when it comes to the terms. Then I got this awnser,
“The account has been double-checked and there is evidence of violations in the terms and services of the game”
They claim to have evidience of me violation their terms and services but when I asked them to prove that claim and show it to me I was meet with more copy pasted awnser from a IA because apperently people that paid and played for this game, is not even worthy a real explanation of unjustied bans.
“We ask for your understanding of the situation and we hope to provide a better gaming environment for all our players.”
Yes, improve your game by never listening to your community, put bots in the game, let real hackers / cheaters run rampage ruing it for real players, handling out random 3-30 days bans & permanet ban to regular players.
But hey it’s a great cash grab from their side and they’re doing a wonderful job on destroying their own game.

There is a reason why this game went from 3.2 million concurrent players down to 380k and falling. The never ending cheaters. Funny how this game has the nickname “Cheat G”. PUBG Corp needs to address cheating more seriously. Anti cheat is not enough. But no they would rather suck the last cent out of the remaining players and not do anything further about cheaters. Now they have the audacity to remove certain game modes while charging $15.00 for a pair of pants or a gun skin. The only good thing they have done in ages is remake all the maps. PUBG Corp only have themselves to blame for losing their player base. Arrogance, greed and lack of action.
Dont waste your time and money on this sinking ship.
All cheaters have small PP

I loved this game when it came out. Me and my friends spent hours every night playing before Fortnite was even a thing. I get back on it every once and while and some decent games. Although the game is still riddled with cheaters left and right. Almost every game have 5-10. Also the career section particularly annoys me. It only shows stats for Season 1 and up. I want to see my stats from before there were even seasons. That’s when I used to play the game and when I got all my wins. I can’t even see how many wins I had because the damn thing only goes back to Season 1. That is incredibly stupid. So please add a way to see stats from before seasons existed if that is still available. Also I would love to see a return of the weather. When I used to load into a game with thunder and lighting, rain, and fog beyond belief that was the best game I had. Even if I came dead last. The weather added a different aspect to account for.
This is probably the best example of how a scummy and greedy Dev. team can ruin by themselves what was the first and most successful BR ever released on the market. And, let me say I’m quite sure that this would’ve still been a totally likeable game in the hands of another Dev. team.
Let’s get straight to the point: Chinese hackers, bugs, astoundingly poor performance that makes it unplayable, games crammed in with mindless NPCs, etc. And none of these issues seem to have been addressed yet…
90 % of its initial player base is already gone, down from +3M players at a time to barely 300K, and still slumping. Nothing else to say.
This is legit one of my favourite games, I always come back to it every year. I loved the concept, at launch it was amazing, I legit played it almost every weekend, but now, it has become one of the biggest jokes on the steam store page. I present to you, the reverse No Man’s Sky.
they removed FPP duo and solo so you are basically just stuck to TPP which consists of top 10s with bots standing in fields for you to then be killed by the one other actual player and then you remember “Oh ****, this isn’t a singleplayer game”. if you want to play FPP you have to play with a squad and I think it’s pretty obvious that the people who play Solo and Duo probably don’t have enough people to squad up so good luck trying to find a good team or one that even talks. even then, if you get into a game with a good squad, the game will turn around and be like “hey, you remember points? well, you don’t get those lol get ******”. you could legit go in a 1-man-squad and commit the worlds most brutal online mass shooting and the game won’t get even a cent for kill and hit points. so the removal of the Best gamemodes plus the restriction of progression to the least popular modes. What more can you ask for? Literally anything.
TPP is so flawed, it make no sense either. If you are playing aggressive and peaking around every corner, the game punishes you because the best strategy is to stare at a wall or tree and Third Person peak around the corner. This has been a problem since launch and why a lot of the better players stick to FPP. It also doesn’t even matter what weapon you get. If you get a sniper, you win. you can have a completely modded out M416 with suppressor and all and it won’t matter because some guy who found his grandpa dusty old rifle from the civil war will be able to clearly see you and get the perfect shot and risk absolutely nothing because he is standing behind a 1cm thick wall. absolutely fantastic.
I think everyone can agree that hacking sucks ass. well you’re in luck because every second game some fat ******* from Uzbekistan will be sitting in his chair absolutely braindead and massacre the entire server because “you know what’s more fun than playing the game? not playing the game”, although he does have a point. The game has degraded to a point where it feels like a chore to even launch the game. I’d honestly rather eat a cinder block then have to wait for another game of PUBG.
In conclusion, **** PUBG, **** the devs, give me time back please for the love of god.
also battle pass bad, me no like.
What more can you say about PUBG at this point. The devs have proven themselves to be incompetent time and time again. With all of its past and current frustrations it’s still king of the BR genre with its exceptional gun play. Probably my favorite gun mechanics in any game. They take skill to control and master and Iv also found that this game has improved my recoil management in all games. Overall I would recommend this game. Especially if you prioritize relatively slower tactics and challenging gunplay over speedy quick twitch gameplay like Apex and Warzone. Although just be ready to scratch your head often over decisions and incompetence by the dev team.
